Hotel Description
The Vega Inn, Gardens and family share 1.5 acres of lush beachfront property in the heart of Caye Caulker Village. The options for accommodations range from camping and furnished apartments to deluxe suites and houses. Belize Explorer travelers will be most interested in the camping and furnished apartments. For campers Vegas provides beach campsites, shared hot and cold showers, flush toilets, luggage storage and security. The furnished apartments are one block from the sea and come complete with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchenette, fans and outdoor sitting areas. All guests at Vegas have full use of the natural beachfront area with lounge chairs and hammocks. Breakfast is also available for guests.

History & Owners
The Vega family has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 40 years and they continue to provide a warm welcome to visitors. In 1959 Mr. Vega, Sr. and his brother built the original Vega Inn that has the distinction of being the only house on the beach left standing after Hurricane Hattie in 1961. All buildings have undergone renovation and additional buildings have been acquired over the years. The entire Vega family is dedicated to maintaining the original, relaxed, family-feel of the island while meeting the demands of tourism in a manageable and sustainable way.
